My students kept asking "how can I make a movie by myself?" My answer is "you just...do it".
Write a story that you like with what you have at your disposal, focus on good photography, good lighting and good acting and have fun.
This project is essentialy a proof of concept that
YOU CAN DO IT.
People don't go to the theatre to see movies anymore, so why don't we bring movies to the people instead?
The idea is bringing movies to the palm of your hands, make them avaible when YOU are available.
Bring movies specifically design for the platform; shoot in vertical 9:16 with sequences of three minutes that the people can choose from.
I'm currently working on a new documentary about a Great American photographer, taking place in New York City.
